I’m Dr. Shaoleen Khaled Daly, and I believe healthcare should feel like coming home! Growing up in the heart of NYC as the first physician in my family, I learned early on that medicine isn’t just about prescriptions as it’s about people, culture, and connection. Today, I’m proud to bring that "New York hustle" and my Bengali heritage into a practice that prioritizes deep, meaningful relationships over rushed appointments.
As a double board certified Internal Medicine and Pediatrics physician and a mother to two under 2 children, I understand the beautiful chaos of the "new baby" phase, the sleepless nights, and the endless questions because I am navigating them right alongside you.
I am deeply passionate about bridging the gap between newborn wellness and women’s health. I don’t just want your baby to thrive; I want you to thrive, too. My mission is to support the parents just as much as the child, ensuring the "fourth trimester" and beyond is met with expert guidance and genuine empathy. Whether we are discussing breastfeeding, metabolic health, or the wellness of a grandparent, I am here to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for your entire world.
Hey there!
When I’m not caring for families, I’m usually embracing the beautiful, busy life of a mother and adventurer. I’m an avid traveler, having explored 35 countries and I’m always on the hunt for new cuisines and cultures that inspire me. At home, you’ll find me leaning into my creative side, whether I’m capturing moments through film photography, diving into a book on anthropology, or styling an interior space.
Wellness is a lifestyle for me, not just a medical philosophy. I’m a firm believer in the power of movement, whether that’s a high-energy Peloton ride, a restorative session of hot yoga, or a long hike with my family and our Goldendoodle, Scheyer. I also find joy in the art of hosting as there is nothing I love more than crafting a beautiful charcuterie board and enjoying a slow evening in the backyard with the people I love most.
Beyond the Life of Medicine
“Dr. Daly is amazing! In an age where medical care feels less and less personal, she rejects that approach by taking the time to understand first and then taking action. I am so thankful for Dr. Daly!”
“Dr. Daly is incredible! She takes the time to get to know you as a person so she can treat you holistically, not just by providing band aids for symptoms. She will listen to you & take your concerns seriously and not push higher doses of medications without first exploring and explaining options. Her availability is great, no long wait times in her office & appointments are spaced with enough time that you don’t feel rushed. Thank you for providing your service to our community!”
“Dr. Daly is phenomenal! She’s very educated and has wonderful bed side manner. Seeing her for a visit feels like seeing a friend who happens to also be a great doctor!”
“Dr. Daly has been the best doctor I’ve ever seen as PCP. As someone who hadn’t seen doctors for years and recently started back up to get my health in check, she has been a breath of fresh air and she’s been immensely helpful, a great listener, and has provided me and my family with a newfound peace of mind when it comes to my health.”
“After years of not being listened to and gaslit- Dr. Daly took me seriously and made a plan for my needs. Every time I go see her I feel like I’m talking to a long time friend who genuinely wants what’s best for me. I can’t thank her enough for the remarkable care and support she’s shown me! Dr. Daly has restored my faith in medical professionals.”
My path in medicine began at Brandeis University, where I explored the intersection of biology and health policy. Driven by a desire to serve diverse communities, I earned my Medical Degree from St. George’s University with a specialized concentration in Global Health. As the first physician in my family, I sought out a rigorous, dual-specialty residency at ECU Health Medical Center, where I spent four years mastering Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med-Peds). This time was marked by a deep commitment to the community, leading me to serve as a Resident Wellness Chair and even taking my skills abroad for mission work in Zambia. Today, I am proud to be Double Board Certified, equipped with the unique ability to care for patients from their very first breath through adulthood.
Education
Throughout my career, I have worked across the full spectrum of care from the fast-paced environment of outpatient and inpatient medicine at Novant Health to the intimacy of Pediatric Housecalls. This diverse experience led me to recognize a critical gap in our healthcare system: the support of the mother-baby dyad. To address this, I founded MilkRx, a premium coaching program designed to help professional moms navigate breastfeeding and postpartum recovery using evidence-based, functional medicine strategies. Beyond my clinical practice, I am an active voice in the medical community, having presented research on pediatric transitions and metabolic health at national conferences from San Diego to Nashville. Whether I am consulting via telemedicine or sitting at a patient's bedside, my work is always anchored in lifestyle medicine and the belief that every family deserves a physician who truly sees and hears them.
